6.5" Petty Chef
When I started working on this design and testing it, my goal was to have an ultra-maneuverable blade, light but strong, a simple but elegant and effective knife. I really think I succeeded. We have a short, light and thin blade, well balanced, a handle made of recycled bourbon barrel oak, a Shou Sugi Ban finish, an ancestral Japanese technique for preserving wood by burning it. And to be extra sure that the wood will be durable over the years, it has also been vacuum stabilized in a resin specific to this application.
It is the purest form of a knife, without sacrifice, quality steel, quality heat treatment and a comfortable and durable handle.
Blade: 1095 high carbon steel
Hardness: 62 HRC
Geometry: Full flat grind
Handle: Recycled, stabilized and burned bourbon barrel oak.
Perfect for cooks of ALL levels
